For sure. Personally I expect this to continue to change all the time. Seems like every 6 months they shake up the local world. I loved the last big change where they made “typical backlinks” much more important instead of just the normal citation stuff.

Interesting to watch local SEO evolve. On one hand, the reduction of the local pack to 3 listings was a loss for Local, but it also got a bump by being moved to the top of the SERPs above organic. Interesting space to watch over the coming years for sure, especially as Google starts to encroach on real estate previously held by sites like Yelp and Angie’s List.
